4 - 9 years previous experience working in software design, testing and integration
• Strong knowledge of IP networking and Internet technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, Radius)
• Strong knowledge of network management and provisioning (XML, SNMP, Corba, LDAP, SOAP).
• Good knowledge of wireless technologies (call flow) and related protocols required
Installation and configuration of servers, routers, and switches highly desired.
• Security and Authentication experience also highly desired
• Has worked with and understands Wireshark or another TCP/IP protocol analyzer is a plus
• Strong Shell scripting
• Past Experience working with IPTV solutions desired
• Past Experience working with Middleware for IPTV desired
• Technical depth and breadth in one or more of the following disciplines: IPTV middleware, video compression/Optimization (MPEG-2, MPEG-4), digital video broadcast, video servers, Streaming Technologies, DPI, IP networking, Set-top boxes, EPG, and Web-based client/server applications.
• Support engineering team to scope the requirements and in architecting & designing the IPTV/Mobile TV software components.
• Hands-on experience for the IPTV/Mobile TV software components (middleware, EPG, CMS, CA, DRM, BSS/OSS integration, portal, MPEG-4, MPEG-2 Encoders and transcoding interactive and different video services etc) development/maintenance.
• Hands-on experience, having end-to-end understanding of the IPTV/Mobile TV ecosystem.
• Hands on experience in OTT ( Andriod OS , Apple IOS , SMART TV )
• The technical focal point for SA/CPM and engineering teams.
• Past Experience working with MPEG-4 and DRM standards desired
• Solid working knowledge of Databases such as MySQL and Oracle desired
• Experience in Geo-Redundancy solutions preferable
• Good knowledge of industry standards and protocols related to Video Technology.
• Experience of at least one End-to-End delivery of IPTV/Mobile TV Projects as Service Engineer.
• Experience in architecting and designing telecom software using J2EE/C++.
• Exposure to different Java AS - JBOSS, Websphere, Sun Glassfish etc.
• Design and implement deployment and network architectures
Personal Specification:-
• BE or ME in EE, CS, or CE or acceptable equivalent level of education and experience
• Software engineering experience in respect of Windows, Oracle and LAN technology an advantage
• For experienced engineers: A record of achievement in Project Management or the design and delivery of complex systems
• For entry level engineers: The ability to apply technical knowledge and understanding within a fast moving commercial environment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Prepared to undertake worldwide travel, with the possibility of having to spend extended periods away for installation and commissioning purposes
