Job Description:
· Technical head for EMS/NMS practice. Drives the overall competency development of the EMS/NMS Practice.
· Technical/Solution Architect, having end-to-end understanding of the EMS/NMS ecosystem. The technical focal point for presales and engineering teams.
· Leads RFP/RFI response preparation for technical aspects for the EMS/NMS solutions involving new development of functionality and maintaining the software versions
· Support engineering team to scope the requirements and in architecting & designing the EMS/NMS software
· Interact with the customers for Requirement clarification, Technical presentations, POC and other demos
· Tracks industry standards in EMS/NMS/DM domain
Skills Required:
· Overall 12+ years experience in Telecom with strong knowledge in EMS/NMS domain ; understand both manager and agent systems
· Technical depth and breadth in one or more of the following disciplines: device discovery, configuration management, SNMP, TL-1, NetConf, fault management, performance management , MTOSI , CORBA, network planning tool, MIB, syslog
· Good knowledge of industry standards and protocols related to EMS/NMS, exposure to TMF, OMA
· Hands-on experience in one of the leading EMS/NMS products – IBM Netcool, WebNMS, HP Openview etc
· Experience of at least one End-to-End delivery of EMS/NMS projects as solution/system architect
· Extensive experience in architecting and designing scalable & distributed telecom software
· Good understanding of OOA/OOD Concepts, GUI software design, RDBMS concepts,
Hands-on experience C/C++, Java/J2EE, exposure to different Java AS – JBOSS, Websphere, Sun Glassfish etc
· Experience in XML, Web-Services, JMX
· Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong planning and organizational skills
· High degree of customer-focused sensitivity towards both internal and external customers
