Job Details Overview
· Experience in testing of data communication, embedded products
· Hands on experience on Cisco/Juniper Routers/Switches
· Experience in LTE L2 and L3 layer testing, LTE standards & IXIA test equipment
· Should have worked L2 ( Ethernet, RSTP, MSTP etc.,) protocols
· Should have worked on L3 routing protocols. (BGP, OSPF, RIP , IGRP/EIGRP )
· MPLS and related protocols (RSVP-TE, LDP etc.) knowledge is must
· Packet forwarding (IP stack) knowledge is desirable
· Should have worked on QoS (TOS, Diffserv, Rate Limiting, Policing, Priority Tagging, Remapping)
· Knowledge of Firewall, VPNs (IPSec) is a desirable
· Exposure to at least one of the Traffic Generators like Ixia, Smart bits, Adtech etc is must
· Experience in developing test plans and detailed test procedures functional, system, performance and robustness tests Knowledge of test methodology for testing routers and/or other embedded systems
· Test automation using test harness, TCL/Expect/Perl is must
· SDLC understanding
· Productive knowledge of one or more programming languages and software platforms
· Good understanding of quality programming guidelines, understanding of software development life cycles
· Work independently without much guidance on programming
· Good understanding of software development constructs.
· Address issues in performance, scalability and manageability in programming efforts
· Programming on projects by using a design
· Understanding Business requirements
· Coding in one or more S/w Platform
· Adherence to Quality processes and deadlines
· Effective Low level design, Code reviews and Project Documentation
· Contributes to organization in the form of participation in KM, C2 activities etc
· Soft Skills: Good communication, analytical and presentation skills, problem solving skills and learning attitude
