Post:
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
Desirable: Experience in Teaching/ Industry/ Research.
a) Faculty positions are currently available only at the level of Assistant Professor in the
following teaching departments:
1. Computer Engineering
2. Electrical & Electronics Engineering
3. Electronics & Communication Engineering
4. Information Technology Engineering
5. Metallurgical & Materials Engineering
b) Preferred areas of specializations in various departments are given in Annexure-I.
However, candidates with other relevant areas of specializations may also be
considered.
c) Candidates applying for more than one Department are required to submit separate
application forms.
d) Reservation as per Govt. of India norms apply. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH
categories should attach certificate obtained from Revenue Authorities not below the
rank of Tahasildar or from a First Class magistrate of the place of domicile of the
candidates clearly authenticating the category to which they belong. They must also
clearly indicate the category to which they belong in the application form.
e) Besides the basic pay in the applicable pay band of the respective positions, admissible
allowances like DA, HRA, CCA etc are payable in accordance with Central Government /
Institute Rules in force from time to time.
Applications not in the prescribed form will not be entertained. Self attested copies of the
following documents must be attached:
1. Degree certificates
2. Marks / Grade cards at all levels starting from SSLC
3. SSLC & PUC certificate
4. Experience certificate
5. Certificates of Summer/Winter schools attended during the last five years

A signed hard copy of the applications along with self attested of certificates and
necessary enclosures should be submitted. Incomplete applications and late
applications are likely to be rejected
All applications should be sent through Speed Post / Registered Post in sealed
envelope superscribed 'Application for post of Assistant Professor in the
Department of ……………………................' on or before December 7, 2012 (Friday)
