To carry out quality control checks on indexing entries created by
Indexers from inclusion in Zoological Record
To monitor the maintenance of animal name and other authority files
within the group, providing appropriate feedback to Production staff
and other relevant departments
To critically select and index material from electronic and hard copy
sources for inclusion in Zoological Record using in house computer
systems
To carry out the indexing process according to current editorial
policies, applying knowledge of zoology/biology and related areas,
including systematic zoology and taxonomic / nomenclatural acts
discussed in the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature.
